Zimbabwe – Nature at its best

If you are planning on a tour to Zimbabwe, then you must know that a journey to this part of Africa will take to through an intriguing patchwork of landscapes, from high veld, balancing boulders and msasa trees which flame,  to high mountains, laidback towns and lifeblood rivers. On your Zimbabwe tour you will come across the Big Five i.e. leopard, lion, rhino, elephant and buffalo, in its national parks. You will also be able to explore various archaeological sites which are listed as World Heritage sites along with being awestruck by the Victoria falls, which is one of the best examples of natural wonders. Even after the mismanagement of the government, political unrest and economic difficulties in Zimbabwe in last two decades, it continues to welcome the visitors with the same enthusiasm and warmth that they are known for.

All those people who have ever visited this country have left from here on only note, which is, this country is one of the most friendliest and incredible tourist places which has plenty of spectacular places to be visited. The famous post- Mugabe dawn happened in 2017 which the Zimbabweans were anxiously waiting for, and their excitement of what the future is holding for them is visible to all who ever visit this place. Given below is the list of most spectacular places in Zimbabwe and they are what you should look for while booking Zimbabwe tour packages:-

  1. Victoria falls.

There is a very definite reason why this place is one of the must see places in Zimbabwe. Like the other eponymous towns of Niagara in the US and Canada, the settlement is not very far away from the roaring waterfalls that has given it its name. Thousands of visitors from all over the come here to join that baboons in the jungle and enjoy into the Victoria Falls National Park.

  1. Harare

Being a home to more than three million people, this city is not only the largest city of this nation but the capital also. This is the economic kingpin, First Street of the country, pouring with shoppers from morning until night. It also has the great preservation of National gallery in the national archives, the Queen Victoria’s Museum and also a wealth of colonial buildings.

  1. Bulawayo

Bulawayo with its reflection of oldness  in colonial frontispieces in the art and deco of Victorian Regal style, this place belies the vibe of New Orleans. Its is full of swaying trees sitting its old avenues and the occasional Anglo- esque public house. This city is more than just a historical one as it is also an industrial and economic hub, which was once known for its smoke- bleaching factories.

  1. Matobo National Park

This renowned national park is a cross- shaped reserve which located just south of Bulawayo, as we mentioned above. This is a land of sculpted granite peaks and anthropomorphic bluffs, is famous for an array of inselbergs and hoodoo rock structures. This is the perfect place for those who want to look back to the hundred years of history and one can also observe the  history of Africa which is carved into the stones of places like Nswatugi Cave.

  1. Nyanga National Park

Situated on the very roof of Zimbabwe, this national park is more than 1,800 meters above the sea level and made up of huge hills of Dolomites rock and suspended boulders that creak in the cool breezes. The habitat of this area consists of groves of msasa trees and cypresses and it has an incredible array of creatures. This will make your Zimbabwe holidays worth remembering.
