Arusha Day 1: Arusha

After reaching airport, and passing through baggage claim, you will meet your private, English-speaking driver in the public waiting area who will transfer you to your hotel.

Before setting out for the first day of activities, you will meet your trip representative at the hotel (often in the morning) who will give you the details of your trip.
While you are with Simons Tours, your safety and security responsibility is our number one priority. In case of any unlikely event of serious illness or injury, you don’t have to worry as the Simons Tours clients are covered by “Flying Doctors” Insurance policy. This  insurance scheme covers the cost of the departure flight back to Nairobi for treatment.  This insurance policy however DOES NOT imbibe any cost of medical treatment. We highly recommend going for travel insurance for full coverage.

Lake Manyara National Park Day 2: Arusha – Ngorongoro – Manyara

Get ready as the driver will pick you up from Arusha and take you to Lake Manyara National park for some game drive before entering the stunning Ngorongoro crater.
Lake Manyara National Park is popular for baboons and tree climbing lions. However your skilled guide will show you the numerous herbivores that dwell in this park such as hippos, impalas, giant elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, warthogs and stripped giraffes. The splendid scenic beauty of the National park imbibes the wall of the Great Rift Valley on one side, and the lake on the other side. It’s an ideal place to click some nice photographs and keep them with you as lifetime memory.
Take in the pleasure of the lunch box while you travel (included in tour price).
While driving, stop in between, and explore the Maynard region which is well known for its baboon population. Take a look at many herbivores such as hippos, impalas, big elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, warthogs and colourful giraffes. If you are lucky you might get an opportunity to watch the rare tree climbing lion. A glance at the queen of the trees such as the giant fig trees and mahogany trees will fill your heart with joy. After visiting place, move on to the next destination.

Delve into the Ngorongoro Farm House  which is a small and elite lodge facing the Oldeani Volcano, just 5 kilometres  away from the Ngorongoro Lolduare gate.  Coming over here, you will gather an authentic experience engulfed with the atmosphere of the old days.  Established in 2003, this lodge includes various rooms, cottages, and suites, all beautifully designed and decorated.  Take a look of the panoramic views across the farm. You will find extremely clean and comfortable rooms over here. Take in the delight of the locally inspired dishes or popular western meals that are served in the main building or near the pool area on special occasions. Ngorongoro Conservation Area Day 3: Ngorongoro

Today, we will provide you with a personalized, experienced tracker-guide along with a private transportation for exploring the Ngorongoro National Park grounds.
Delve into one of the most familiar wildlife conservation areas in Tanzania today.  Leave your camp or lodge, with your expert guide and drive approximately 20 to 30 minute drive towards the Ngorongoro Park Gate. For reaching Crater Rim it will take another 20 minutes.   The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, integral, and empty volcanic caldera.  This geological masterpiece was created as a result of tremendous large volcanic eruptions which caused the volcano to fall down on itself, thus forming a crater. It will take around 45 mins to travel from crater floor to rim around 45 minutes. Enjoy watching large number of of wildlife over there.  Over 20000 mammals abodes the crater home, including some of black rhinos in the world.  Take some snaps of the highest carnivore densities that the crater floor boasts such as the lions, packs of hyenas and solitary predators like cheetahs and jackals. You will get a perfect combination of fun, adventure as well as the relaxed environment over here. With a keen eye you can spot some of the less common species like leopards, servals, and  foxes.

Serengeti National Park Day 4: Ngorongoro – Serengeti

Be ready as the guide will pick you up from the Ngorongoro Conservation area and you will be transferred to the famous plains of the Serengeti.  While driving stop at Olduvlai Gorge, the Serengeti welcome centre and lookout point, or directly stop for lunch at a picnic spot. You will have a mind-blowing experience visiting these places. Your excitement will rise higher after entering the Serengeti Park, as you will get an opportunity to enjoy game viewing. After game viewing, you will be driven through the park to your next accommodation. It will take takes 5 to 6 hours to reach the next destination, depending on the number of stops you make and how much time you spend on game viewing along the way.  During rainy seasons it takes more time, and the trip gets longer.Enjoy a fascinating visit to the giant Olduvai Gorge or Oldupai Gorge is seldom referred to as “The Cradle of Mankind.”  It starts from the eastern Serengeti plains, and extends 48 kilometres long.  , This gorge has a steep-sided ravine that cuts and extends its way through the Great Rift Valley along eastern Africa.  The gorge is also known as the  Sansevieria-Ehrenbergii, or Oldupai for short.
Set out for an afternoon tour into the impeccably never-ending regions of the Serengeti along with an experienced guide. Delve into the beauty of the park that is well renowned for its amazing wildlife species, in particular the African Big 5 which includes buffalos, big elephants, rhinoceros, leopards and ferocious lions.  Serengeti abodes largest population of lions and giraffes.  Larger concentrations of topi, gazelle, waterbuck and Coke’s hartebeest provide an abundant food source for local carnivores including cheetah, hyenas and African wild dog.  The park also dwells  500+ species of birds, of different size and weights .Treat your eyes with the wonderful views of the ostrich, crowned crane, marabou stork and secretary bird .Taking some nice snaps of the beautiful birds, and fill your heart with enough memories

Serengeti National Park Day 5: Serengeti

An early morning thrilling African adventure accompanied with an exciting game drive will make your day. You will be driving through Tanzania’s oldest and most well-known National Park, named as the Serengeti.  This is the perfect place where you will enjoy the most expansive game viewing in Tanzania. Starting from predators to prey, great herds of grazing herbivores to deliberately shrewd packs of carnivores, explore the wildlife on the plains of the Serengeti which is defined as a complete “circle of life.”  Watch the giraffes and big elephants feast, and look at how the scared impalas, gazelles and buffalos slowly walking through the plains for not becoming the prey for on-looking lions, cheetahs and hyenas.
Spend the whole day spotting out Impala, one of Africa’s most stunning and graceful animal. When frightened or worried the whole impala group will leap together to confuse their predator. They can jump long distances more than 10 meters (33 ft.) and 3 meters (9 ft.) high. Impalas are the prey for the Leopards, cheetah, lions and wild dogs. Impala can reach running speeds of approximately 50 to 55 mph (80 to 90 km/h) to escape from its predators. You will have an unforgettable wildlife experience coming to this place .You will have a close encounter with the wildlife, that you used to watch in the TV.

Arusha Day 6: Serengeti – Arusha

If time permits, then your expert guide will surely take you for one more game drive before dropping you off at the airport. Take the thrill of having a panoramic view of the park’s diverse range of animals for the last time.
Fly from Serengeti to Arusha today. The flight will land at more than one stop. You will reach your destination within 2 hours.
Check out the Luggage restriction that’s applicable to this flight: Standard Y Class – 15kg per person, Premium XL Class – 30kg per person applicable both for carry-on and checked luggage. You need to ensure that your checked luggage needs to be soft-sided – no wheels / no spine, and a duffel bag are recommended. A small purse/backpack is recommended to carry with you, to keep your camera, passport, hat, sun block or other necessary items.
You will be picked up from Arusha hotel and dropped to the Kilimanjaro International Airport by a private vehicle accompanied with an English speaking driver.
